Diane L. Stellini, MA, LPC, NCC

Diane works with a wide population that includes children and adolescents, families, couples, and individual adults. She specializes in working with people experiencing symptoms of depression and anxiety, relationship distress, and emotional and vocational challenges. Diane has a strong advocacy philosophy and approaches her work with the belief that her clients can overcome the obstacles they face. Diane specializes in applying principles of solution-focused therapy and in providing crisis management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Diane earned a Master’s degree in Counseling from Oakland University with specialized training in the field of children and adolescents. Diane is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Michigan and is certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors as a National Certified Counselor. Diane brings more than 20 years of experience working as a victim’s advocate and working as a psychotherapist in Oakland County.

Diane places a strong emphasis on establishing a good working rapport with each client and family with whom she works. As such, Diane displays great skill in her ability to work inside complex family systems, often working with multiple family members on an individual basis and providing support and guidance as the family as a whole seeks healing and improved functioning. She emphasizes formulating and tailoring attainable goals together with her clients, encourages them to express their feelings, discusses current issues and supports their insight into themselves and their relationships. Diane works with her clients to assist them in developing skills and strategies in addressing and managing their problems.
