Marion works with children (7+), adolescents, men and women of all ages providing individual therapy, group therapy (emotional regulation, self-esteem building, coping skills), family therapy and couples counseling. She specializes in working with those experiencing, anxiety, depression, conduct disorders, difficulty with life adjustments, mood disorders, identity concerns, career, and relationship difficulties.
Education and Experience
Marion is a Limited Licensed Master Social Worker with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Oakland University and a Master’s Degree in Social Work (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy concentration) from Wayne State University. Marion has experience working with at-risk youth in residential settings and adjudicated youth in the juvenile justice system. Marion has experience providing treatment for individuals and families in residential programs and in out-patient therapy. Marion has more than 5 years’ experience working with children receiving special education services and children diagnosed with Autism using Applied Behavioral Analysis in both home and school settings.

Marion views therapy as client-centered, offering those who seek services the opportunity to build hope and discover their own self-resilience to work through life’s transitions. Marion utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing as foundational approaches in therapy, and integrates Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and other psychotherapy approaches, including faith based approaches, to address past traumas and identify the impact of thoughts and emotions on behaviors.
