Brian provides counseling services to teenagers, adults, and couples. Brian strives to help people reach their full potential and is passionate about helping others. Brian integrates client centered, humanistic, and cognitive behavioral therapy approaches to treat those experiencing depression, anxiety, low self- esteem, relationship challenges, life adjustment, and other emotional distress. Brian creates a safe, non- judgmental environment that allows clients to be open and collaborate on their goals.
Education and Experience
Brian earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Oakland University, a Master of Arts degree in education from Michigan State University, and his teaching certification in Social Studies and Computer Science from Madonna University. Brian has completed his academic requirements towards a Master of Arts in clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands and is fulfilling his internship requirements at LifeLens Counseling Services. Brian has developed an expertise working with adolescents during his 15-year teaching career in secondary education, where he focused on the social sciences, teaching Advanced Placement classes and International Baccalaureate psychology courses. Brian is also a certified firefighter and is a credentialed cycling instructor.

Brian utilizes his experience and understanding of the impact of each person’s formative years to assist clients in examining the underlying factors of emotional distress and behavioral choices, while challenging the impact of negative thinking patterns. Brian believes that everyone has the ability to make changes to improve the quality of life and to fulfill goals.
