Dylan works with both teenagers (age 14+) and adults. He specializes in working with individuals experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, addictions, anger management, behavior problems, couples therapy and those struggling with adjustment disorders. Dylan aims to help clients understand and develop their own goals while building motivation from within using motivational interviewing and assists clients in understanding how unhelpful thought patterns influence emotions and behaviors through the use of CBT.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Dylan earned his Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, MI, and his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI . Dylan is a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC), and a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC), and has earned credits towards requirements for becoming a Certified Clinical Supervisor in addictions treatment. Additionally, Dylan has received training in the Gottman Method of couples counseling and integrates varied modalities in couples’ therapy.

Dylan is passionate about helping clients develop a better understanding of themselves while feeling better about themselves through improved self-esteem and by building important skills for coping with life’s challenges. He believes that the ability to live a happy and fulfilling life is within all individuals regardless of what current challenges they might be facing and strives to assist clients in achieving this potential. Dylan utilizes a variety of treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness. Utilizing CBT, Dylan assists clients in understanding and identifying unhelpful thinking patterns which impact emotions and behavior while exploring ways to challenge and replace those negative thoughts with a more balanced outlook on life.
