Esther offers counseling services to children, teenagers, adults, and couples, with a focus on fostering psychological and emotional well-being. She is dedicated to equipping children and teenagers with the tools for a healthy adulthood, while assisting adults in navigating challenges such as depression, anxiety, self-esteem, relationships, life transitions, and various emotional and behavioral issues. Utilizing an integrated therapeutic approach rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT) theories, Esther cultivates a client-centered, non-judgmental, and supportive environment. Here, clients feel safe and empowered to share, heal, and grow.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Esther holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Oakland University and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Central Michigan University. Esther has received post master’s degree training in the provision of Play Therapy, Integration of Polyvagal Theory in Play Therapy, applications of EMDR in therapy, and the Gottman Method of Couples Counseling. Esther brings five years teaching experience as a substitute schoolteacher in the public education system and as a pre-school assistant teacher. Prior to entering her teaching career, Esther worked in the business sector in customer service and management positions.
Thus, Esther brings valuable experience working with the public, and more specifically, with children and teenagers in her educational and counseling roles.
