Stuart is a dedicated and compassionate counselor with a strong foundation in education. Stuart works with children (ages 6+), adolescents, and adults providing individual, family, and couples counseling. Stuart treats clients experiencing anxiety, self-esteem issues, bullying, depression, stress, grief and loss, life adjustment challenges, parenting struggles, and career concerns. Stuart believes that clients should be given a trusting, respectful, compassionate, and a safe environment that allows the individual to explore what they need and how they can grow into a healthier version of themselves.
Education and Experience
Stuart is a Limited Licensed Counselor with an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Oakland University and a Master of Education in School Counseling from Liberty University. With five years of experience as a certified elementary and middle school teacher, and his internship experience as a middle school counselor, he brings a unique perspective to his counseling practice. Stuart’s experience as an educator providing academic and counseling services cross-culturally, has helped him focus on family systems, navigating transitions, coping with stress, anxiety, and grief, as well as helping individuals impacted by trauma.

He approaches therapy from a strengths-based perspective. He believes that his clients’ strengths can be utilized and built upon to facilitate successful navigation through life’s challenges. Stuart’s calm, empathic, and caring disposition helps to create a non-judgmental, safe, and warm therapeutic experience for his clients. Stuart integrates a variety of treatment approaches, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in helping his clients discover and develop direction and fulfillment in their lives.
